Niagara Regional Police Service detectives assigned to the 5 District (Fort Erie) Criminal Investigative Branch have been actively investigating a dangerous driving incident that occurred on May 4th, 2023, in the Town of Fort Erie.
With the assistance of the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS), during the afternoon hours on May 9th, 2023, the suspect vehicle, a black 2018 Ford Mustang bearing Ontario registration #50YOTE was located in the Durham Region. Both suspects believed to have been associated to the vehicle were also located and arrested.
Colin TODD (38 years) of Port Perry has been arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:
• Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
• Flight from a peace officer
• Obstruct peace officer
Zeanka HAVTUR (29 years) of no fixed address has been arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:
• Break enter and commit
• Theft of motor vehicle
• Possession of stolen property over $5000
• Fail to comply with release order (3 counts)
TODD has been returned to the Region of Niagara and is being held for a bail hearing scheduled to take place later today (May 10th, 2023) via video link to the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church Street in the City of St. Catharines. HAVTUR will remain in the custody of the Durham Regional Police Service.
