2 District detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service continue to investigate the armed robbery that occurred at the Meridian Credit Union located at 4780 Portage Road, in the City of Niagara Falls on February 23, 2023.
The Meridian Credit Union continues to offer a $50,000.00 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible.

Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) detectives assigned to the 2 District (Niagara Falls / Niagara-on-the-Lake) Criminal Investigative Branch continue to investigate an armed robbery that occurred at a Niagara Falls bank in February of 2023.
On February 23rd, 2023, at 8:01pm officers responded to the Meridian Credit Union, located at 4780 Portage Road, in the City of Niagara Falls regarding an armed robbery that just occurred. The initial investigation determined two male suspects entered the bank, brandished a handgun, and demanded cash from the employees. The suspects received an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency. No employees received any physical injuries.
The Meridian Credit Union has increased the reward from $30,000.00 to $50,000.00 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible.
Suspect #1 is described as follows:
Black male 50 years of age 6’0” tall, slim build Wearing a black mask Wearing a black jacket Wearing black gloves Wearing dark grey pants Wearing black shoes
Suspect #2 is described as follows:
Black male 30 years of age 5’9” tall, medium build Wearing a mask Wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with “BARRIE” on the left chest and a maple leaf logo underneath Wearing black pants Wearing burgundy shoes
The suspects are believed to have fled the scene in a white Dodge Caravan with stolen licence plates.
