Callander Care: A Stroll Through History
Residents of Callander, Ontario were given the opportunity to take a walk through history on Saturday, as the Callander Care organization hosted a guided tour of the town’s historic sites.
Led by local historian, John Smith, the tour began at the Callander Museum, where participants were able to view artifacts and learn about the town’s rich history. From there, the group made their way to the Callander Bay Heritage Museum, where they were able to explore the town’s maritime past.
The tour then continued to the Callander Cemetery, where Smith shared stories of the town’s early settlers and their contributions to the community. Participants were able to pay their respects at the gravesites of these pioneers, gaining a deeper understanding of the town’s roots.
