F1 Japanese Grand Prix 2024 results, standings from Suzuka, Japan

The 2024 F1 Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka has come to a thrilling end, with Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing taking home the top spot on the podium. The race, which took place on Sunday, saw Verstappen dominate from start to finish, securing his fourth win of the season.

Verstappen’s victory was not without its challenges, as he faced stiff competition from Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas. However, the Dutch driver managed to maintain his lead throughout the race, crossing the finish line with a comfortable margin of over 10 seconds.

Hamilton, who started the race in second place, was unable to keep up with Verstappen’s pace and had to settle for second place. Bottas, on the other hand, had a disappointing race, finishing in fifth place after struggling with tire issues.

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc put on an impressive performance, finishing in third place and securing his first podium finish of the season. His teammate, Carlos Sainz, also had a strong race, finishing in fourth place.

The Japanese Grand Prix also saw some unfortunate incidents, with Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll and AlphaTauri’s Yuki Tsunoda both retiring from the race due to technical issues.

With his win at Suzuka, Verstappen has extended his lead in the drivers’ standings, now sitting 14 points ahead of Hamilton. Mercedes, however, still holds a comfortable lead in the constructors’ standings.

The 2024 F1 season has been full of surprises and intense competition, and the Japanese Grand Prix was no exception. As the season continues, fans can expect more thrilling races and fierce battles for the top spot on the podium.
