A man has been arrested after gunfire erupted in the Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie neighborhood on Monday evening.
According to police, the incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. near the intersection of Beaubien and Chateaubriand avenues. Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and seeing a man fleeing the scene.
Authorities quickly arrived at the scene and found a man in his 30s with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital and is currently in stable condition.
Meanwhile, police were able to locate and arrest a suspect at the hospital. The 27-year-old man is known to authorities and is facing multiple charges, including possession of a firearm and discharging a firearm in a public place.
