One person airlifted to trauma centre following Brampton collision

A serious collision in Brampton has resulted in one person being airlifted to a trauma centre.

According to Peel Regional Police, the incident occurred at the intersection of Steeles Avenue and McLaughlin Road on Monday evening.

Emergency crews were called to the scene around 6:30 p.m. and found two vehicles with significant damage.

One person was trapped inside their vehicle and had to be extricated by firefighters. They were then airlifted to a trauma centre with serious injuries.

The intersection was closed for several hours as police investigated the cause of the collision. It has since reopened.
