A road construction worker was injured in a hit-and-run incident on the Don Valley Parkway (DVP) on Monday, according to police.
The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the DVP, near the Eglinton Avenue East exit.
According to police, the worker was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. The worker was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The southbound lanes of the DVP were closed for several hours as police investigated the incident. They are now reopened.
Police are currently searching for the driver of the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run. They have described the vehicle as a dark-coloured SUV, possibly a Toyota RAV4, with damage to the front end.
