Police investigating after pedestrian struck and killed in Brampton

A tragic incident occurred in Brampton on Tuesday evening as a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle. The Peel Regional Police were called to the scene at the intersection of Queen Street East and Bramalea Road around 6:30 p.m.

According to witnesses, the pedestrian was attempting to cross the street when they were hit by a vehicle traveling eastbound on Queen Street. The victim, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the police investigation. It is unclear at this time if any charges will be laid.
