Port Moody Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a series of break-ins at a local restaurant.
According to authorities, the incidents occurred at a restaurant located on St. Johns Street in Port Moody. The suspect is believed to have broken into the establishment on multiple occasions, causing significant damage and stealing valuable items.
Police have released surveillance footage of the suspect, who is described as a Caucasian male in his late 20s to early 30s, with a medium build and short dark hair. In the footage, the suspect can be seen wearing a dark hoodie, black pants, and black shoes.
In a statement, Port Moody Police Sergeant Robb Richey urged the public to come forward with any information that may lead to the identification of the suspect. “These break-ins have caused significant financial loss to the restaurant and we are determined to bring the perpetrator to justice,” he said.
The restaurant owner, who wishes to remain anonymous, expressed their frustration and concern over the break-ins. “It’s disheartening to see our hard work and dedication to our business being destroyed by someone who has no regard for the law or the impact of their actions,” they said.
Authorities are also reminding business owners to review their security measures and report any suspicious activity to the police.
