Kelowna Memorial Boxing Event Raises Funds for Charitable Causes

The city of Kelowna is gearing up for a special event that not only promises an exciting evening of boxing, but also aims to raise money for various charitable causes. The Kelowna Memorial Boxing Event, organized by local boxing club, will take place on Saturday, September 18th at the Kelowna Curling Club.

The event will feature a series of amateur boxing matches, showcasing the skills and determination of local boxers. But beyond the sport, the event has a deeper purpose – to give back to the community. All proceeds from the event will be donated to three different charities: the Kelowna Women’s Shelter, the Kelowna Food Bank, and the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation.

The Kelowna Women’s Shelter provides support and resources for women and children who have experienced domestic violence. The Kelowna Food Bank helps to alleviate hunger in the community by providing food assistance to those in need. And the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation raises funds for medical equipment, patient care programs, and research at the Kelowna General Hospital.

The organizers of the event are passionate about giving back to the community and are excited to use their love for boxing to make a positive impact. They hope to not only raise funds for these important causes, but also to raise awareness and bring the community together.

Tickets for the event are available for purchase online or at the door. In addition to the boxing matches, there will also be a silent auction and raffle with prizes donated by local businesses. The event is open to all ages and promises to be a fun and meaningful evening for everyone involved.

So mark your calendars for September 18th and come out to support a great cause while enjoying some thrilling boxing matches. Let’s show our community that we can come together to make a difference.
