A man has been charged by Chatham-Kent police after his vehicle was struck by a train, resulting in his injury.

According to authorities, the incident occurred on Wednesday evening at the railway crossing on Bloomfield Road in Chatham. The man, whose identity has not been released, was driving his vehicle when it was hit by a passing train.

Emergency services were immediately called to the scene and the man was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. His current condition is unknown.

Upon further investigation, it was determined that the man had failed to stop at the railway crossing, resulting in the collision with the train. As a result, he has been charged with failing to stop at a railway crossing under the Railway Safety Act.
