Kelowna residents will soon have a new travel option as Pacific Coastal Airlines announces the launch of non-stop flights between Kelowna and Comox starting in June.
The airline, which has been serving British Columbia for over 40 years, will offer daily flights between the two cities, providing a convenient and efficient way for travelers to reach their destinations.
According to Pacific Coastal Airlines’ President, Quentin Smith, the decision to add this route was based on the demand from both leisure and business travelers. “We are excited to expand our services and provide a direct link between Kelowna and Comox,” said Smith.
The flights will be operated by the airline’s Beechcraft 1900D aircraft, which can accommodate up to 19 passengers. The aircraft is known for its reliability and comfort, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable flight experience for passengers.
The non-stop flights will depart from Kelowna at 9:30 am and arrive in Comox at 10:30 am. The return flight will depart from Comox at 11:00 am and arrive in Kelowna at 12:00 pm. This schedule allows for convenient connections to other destinations within Pacific Coastal Airlines’ network.
The addition of this route is expected to have a positive impact on both cities, as it will increase tourism and business opportunities. It will also provide a more affordable and time-efficient option for travelers, as they will no longer have to make a stopover in Vancouver.
