Kelowna Gospel Mission Honors Over 130 Volunteers for Changing Lives
The Kelowna Gospel Mission, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the homeless and those in need, recently celebrated the hard work and dedication of over 130 volunteers who have made a significant impact in the community.
The event, held at the Mission’s headquarters in Kelowna, was a heartfelt tribute to the volunteers who have selflessly given their time and efforts to help those in need. The volunteers, ranging from teenagers to seniors, have been an integral part of the Mission’s operations, providing support and assistance in various programs and services.
Executive Director of the Kelowna Gospel Mission, Randy Benson, expressed his gratitude towards the volunteers, stating that their contributions have made a significant difference in the lives of many individuals. He also highlighted the importance of their work, stating that without their help, the Mission would not be able to provide the level of care and support that it does.
The volunteers themselves were also recognized for their efforts, with each one receiving a certificate of appreciation and a heartfelt thank you from the Mission’s staff and clients. Many of the volunteers shared their experiences and stories, expressing how their work at the Mission has not only impacted the lives of others but also their own.
One volunteer, Sarah, shared how her time at the Mission has opened her eyes to the struggles and challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness. She stated that her work at the Mission has given her a new perspective and a deeper understanding of the issue, and she is grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact.
The Kelowna Gospel Mission has been providing essential services to the community for over 40 years, including meals, shelter, and addiction recovery programs. The organization relies heavily on the support of volunteers, and their dedication and hard work have helped change the lives of many individuals in need.
As the event came to a close, it was evident that the volunteers’ efforts have not gone unnoticed, and their impact will continue to be felt in the community for years to come. The Kelowna Gospel Mission is grateful for their contributions and looks forward to continuing to work alongside them in their mission to help those in need.
