The Ochiese First Nation in Alberta is currently facing a tragic and devastating event as the RCMP investigates a homicide that occurred within the community.
According to the RCMP, officers were called to the Ochiese First Nation on the evening of April 6th, 2021, after receiving reports of a deceased individual. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of a 35-year-old man, who has been identified as a member of the community.
The RCMP Major Crimes Unit, along with the Forensic Identification Section, have been deployed to the scene to conduct a thorough investigation. The cause of death has not been disclosed at this time, and the identity of the victim has not been released.
The Ochiese First Nation Chief and Council have expressed their deep sadness and condolences to the family and friends of the victim. They have also assured the community that they are working closely with the RCMP to support the investigation and bring justice to the victim.
