Toronto Police are currently on the lookout for a man who is wanted for assaulting a woman in the city’s west end.
According to authorities, the incident took place on Monday evening at around 8:30 p.m. in the area of Bloor Street West and Lansdowne Avenue.
The suspect, identified as 32-year-old John Smith, allegedly approached the victim and began to physically assault her. The victim was able to escape and call for help, while the suspect fled the scene.
The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics.
Smith is described as approximately 6 feet tall, with a medium build and short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and black shoes.
Police are urging anyone with information on Smith’s whereabouts to come forward and contact them immediately. They are also reminding the public not to approach the suspect if spotted, but to call 911 instead.
