Winnipeg man wanted for murder arrested in Saskatoon

A Winnipeg man who was wanted for murder has been arrested in Saskatoon, according to police.

The suspect, 27-year-old John Smith, was wanted in connection with a homicide that occurred in Winnipeg on March 25. The victim, 32-year-old Jane Doe, was found deceased in her home.

Saskatoon police received a tip from the Winnipeg Police Service that Smith may be in the area. They were able to locate and arrest him without incident on April 5.

Smith has been charged with second-degree murder and is currently in custody. He is expected to be transported back to Winnipeg to face the charges.
