Three Montreal police officers were hospitalized after being assaulted in downtown Montreal on Saturday night.
According to the Montreal Police Service (SPVM), the incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. near the intersection of Sainte-Catherine and Saint-Urbain streets.
The officers were responding to a call about a disturbance when they were allegedly attacked by a group of individuals.
The SPVM stated that the officers were “violently assaulted” and sustained injuries to their heads and faces. They were immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.
