A wildfire that broke out in Joe Rich on Saturday afternoon has been successfully contained by crews.
According to reports, the fire was first reported around 2:30 pm near the 14000 block of Highway 33. The blaze quickly spread, prompting a response from the Kelowna Fire Department, BC Wildfire Service, and local residents.
Thanks to the swift action of the responding crews, the fire was brought under control within a few hours. No injuries or damage to structures have been reported.
