No injuries reported, suspect vehicle located after two tow trucks shot at in Scarborough

Scarborough, ON – Two tow trucks were shot at in Scarborough on Monday evening, but thankfully no injuries were reported. The suspect vehicle has been located, according to police.

The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. in the area of Lawrence Avenue East and Markham Road. Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and seeing a vehicle fleeing the scene.

Police arrived at the scene and found two tow trucks with bullet holes. Fortunately, no one was injured in the shooting.

After an extensive search, the suspect vehicle was located and seized by police. The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made at this time.

The motive behind the shooting is still unclear, but police are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist with the investigation.

This incident serves as a reminder of the dangers that tow truck drivers face while on the job. In recent years, there have been several incidents of violence against tow truck drivers in the Greater Toronto Area.
