Suspect sought in connection with intimate partner violence investigation in Brampton

Police in Brampton are seeking the public’s help in locating a suspect wanted in connection with an intimate partner violence investigation.

According to Peel Regional Police, the incident occurred on March 14 in the area of Queen Street East and Kennedy Road. The victim, who has not been identified, sustained serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The suspect has been identified as 27-year-old Jaskaran Singh. He is described as a South Asian male, approximately 5’10” tall, with a medium build and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, and black shoes.

Police say Singh is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone who sees him is urged to call 911 immediately.

In a statement, Detective Sergeant Paul Krawczyk emphasized the seriousness of the incident and urged anyone with information to come forward.

“Intimate partner violence is a serious issue and we take all reports of it very seriously,” Krawczyk said. “We are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of Jaskaran Singh to contact us immediately.”
