A three-vehicle crash in Vaughan has resulted in a Toronto man being charged with impaired driving.
According to York Regional Police, the collision occurred on Sunday evening at the intersection of Major Mackenzie Drive and Dufferin Street. Three vehicles were involved in the crash, with one of them being a taxi.
The driver of the taxi, a 45-year-old man from Toronto, has been charged with impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit. He was taken into custody and is scheduled to appear in court on May 27.
Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported as a result of the crash. However, one person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The intersection was closed for several hours as police investigated the scene and cleared the wreckage. It has since been reopened to traffic.
