Police have made arrests following a carjacking that took place early this morning at a residence in North York.
According to authorities, the incident occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. at a home on the 100 block of Willowdale Avenue. The victim, who has not been identified, was approached by two suspects who demanded the keys to their vehicle.
The suspects then fled the scene in the victim’s car, which was later found abandoned in the area of Yonge Street and Finch Avenue. The victim was not injured during the incident.
After an investigation, police were able to identify and locate the suspects. Two individuals, whose names have not been released, were arrested and are facing charges of robbery and possession of stolen property.
Police are reminding the public to be vigilant and aware of their surroundings, especially during the early hours of the morning. They are also urging anyone with information about this incident to come forward and contact authorities.
