A 17-year-old teenager from Whitby, Ontario has been charged with assaulting a police officer after an incident involving a vape, according to Durham Regional Police.
The altercation occurred on Monday evening when officers responded to a call about a group of teenagers vaping in a parking lot near Brock Street and Dundas Street West in Whitby.
Upon arrival, the officers approached the group and asked them to stop vaping. However, one of the teenagers became aggressive and refused to comply with the officers’ instructions.
