Police investigating after man shows up at York Region hospital with gunshot wound

York Regional Police are currently investigating after a man arrived at a hospital in York Region with a gunshot wound on Monday evening.

According to authorities, the man arrived at the hospital around 8:30 p.m. with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The hospital, located in the area of Major Mackenzie Drive and Bayview Avenue, immediately contacted police.

Upon arrival, officers found the man to be in stable condition and began their investigation into the incident. It is believed that the shooting occurred in the area of Yonge Street and Major Mackenzie Drive.

At this time, no suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made. Police are appealing to anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident to come forward and assist with the investigation.

The hospital was placed under a temporary lockdown as a precautionary measure, but it has since been lifted. Police have also increased their presence in the area as they continue to gather evidence and speak to potential witnesses.
