New Westminster police are investigating a theft of over $3,000 worth of baseball equipment from a local field.

According to authorities, the incident occurred sometime between 9 p.m. on April 24 and 9 a.m. on April 25 at the Queens Park baseball field. The stolen items include bats, gloves, helmets, and other gear used by players.

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying any suspects or witnesses who may have information about the theft. They are also urging anyone who may have been offered the stolen equipment for sale to come forward.

In a statement, Sgt. Jeff Scott of the New Westminster Police Department said, “This theft has not only affected the players who use this equipment, but also the entire community who enjoys the sport of baseball at this field.”
