POLICE: Brockville man charged in collision

Brockville, ON – A 32-year-old man from Brockville has been charged by police after a collision occurred on Tuesday evening.

According to the Brockville Police Service, the incident took place at around 7:30 pm on Tuesday at the intersection of King Street West and Perth Street. The collision involved two vehicles, a sedan and a pickup truck.

The driver of the sedan, identified as John Smith, was charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act. He was also issued a ticket for failing to stop at a red light.

The pickup truck sustained significant damage to its front end, while the sedan had damage to its side. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the collision. However, the intersection was closed for a short period of time while the vehicles were removed and the scene was cleared.
