SIU invokes mandate after traffic investigation in Mississauga: police

The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has invoked its mandate after a traffic investigation involving the Mississauga Police.

According to the SIU, the incident occurred on May 4th, when a 25-year-old man was driving a vehicle in the area of Hurontario Street and Dundas Street West. The man was reportedly involved in a collision with a police cruiser.

The SIU has confirmed that the man sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The SIU has also stated that the man’s injuries are not considered life-threatening.
