A man was stabbed at Northgate Centre on Tuesday evening, according to Edmonton police.
The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the shopping mall located at 137 Avenue and 97 Street.
Police say the victim, a 25-year-old man, was approached by a group of individuals who then proceeded to stab him. The suspects then fled the scene.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but is expected to survive.
Police are currently investigating the incident and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
The suspects are described as three males and one female, all believed to be in their late teens or early twenties.
The motive for the attack is still unknown at this time.
Northgate Centre remained open during the investigation, but the area where the stabbing occurred was cordoned off.
