A house fire broke out in Paris on Tuesday evening, but thankfully, no injuries were reported.
The incident occurred at a residence on Grand River Street North, near the intersection of William Street, around 6:30 p.m. Firefighters from the Paris Fire Department were quickly dispatched to the scene.
According to officials, the fire started in the kitchen of the home and quickly spread to other areas. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Fortunately, the occupants of the house were able to safely evacuate before the fire spread. No injuries were reported, and the damage to the home is estimated to be significant.
The Paris Fire Department was able to contain and extinguish the fire, preventing it from spreading to neighboring homes. They remained on the scene for several hours to ensure that the fire was completely extinguished.
The residents of the home are currently displaced and receiving assistance from the Red Cross. The exact extent of the damage is still being assessed.
