A heated confrontation over dangerous driving in Scarborough escalated into an attempted stabbing, according to police.
The incident occurred on Monday evening near the intersection of Markham Road and Lawrence Avenue East. Police say a group of individuals were involved in a verbal altercation over reckless driving, which quickly turned physical.
During the altercation, one person pulled out a knife and attempted to stab another individual. Fortunately, no one was injured and the suspect fled the scene before police arrived.
Authorities are now searching for the suspect, described as a male in his 20s with a medium build and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and black pants.
