A fatal crash in Etobicoke has left one driver dead, according to police.
The incident occurred on Saturday evening at the intersection of Kipling Avenue and Belfield Road. Police were called to the scene at around 8:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a collision between two vehicles.
Upon arrival, officers found one driver with life-threatening injuries. Despite efforts from emergency responders, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver involved in the crash sustained minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The intersection was closed for several hours as police conducted their investigation. It has since been reopened to traffic.
At this time, the cause of the crash is still under investigation. Police have not released the identities of the drivers involved.
