Police arrest man allegedly driving impaired with two children in Whitby

A man has been arrested in Whitby, Ontario for allegedly driving while impaired with two children in the vehicle.

According to police, the incident occurred on Sunday evening when officers received a call about a possible impaired driver in the area of Thickson Road and Winchester Road East.

Upon arrival, officers found a vehicle matching the description and conducted a traffic stop. The driver, a 35-year-old man, was arrested and charged with impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit.

Police also discovered that there were two children, aged 5 and 7, in the vehicle at the time of the incident. The children were unharmed and have been safely returned to their mother.

The man, whose identity has not been released, is scheduled to appear in court on a later date.
