Gananoque residents can look forward to a fun-filled Canada Day celebration at Joel Stone Park this year. The town has planned a variety of activities to commemorate the country’s birthday.
The festivities will kick off at 10 am with a flag-raising ceremony, followed by a performance from the Gananoque Legion Pipe Band. Throughout the day, there will be live music, food vendors, and a beer garden for adults to enjoy.
For families, there will be a children’s area with bouncy castles, face painting, and other activities. The Gananoque Fire Department will also be on hand to provide a fire truck display and safety demonstrations.
One of the highlights of the day will be the annual Canada Day parade, which will start at 1 pm. The parade will feature local organizations, businesses, and community groups, all showcasing their Canadian pride.
In the evening, the park will come alive with a spectacular fireworks display at 10 pm. This year’s show promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with a variety of colorful and dazzling fireworks lighting up the sky.
The Canada Day celebrations at Joel Stone Park are a great opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate our country’s diversity and unity. It is also a chance to reflect on the values and principles that make Canada such a great nation.
The town of Gananoque would like to remind everyone to be respectful of the park and to clean up after themselves. They also encourage attendees to use public transportation or carpool to reduce traffic and parking congestion.
So mark your calendars and join us at Joel Stone Park on July 1st for a day of fun, food, and festivities as we celebrate Canada’s 154th birthday. See you there!
