In an exclusive interview, McCulloch sat down with CTV News to discuss his connection to Alberta and what audiences can expect from his highly anticipated performance.

Q: What inspired you to bring your one-man show to Edmonton?

A: Well, I was born in Edmonton and spent my formative years in Alberta, so it’s always been a special place for me. I have a lot of fond memories of performing in Edmonton and I wanted to come back and share my show with the people who helped shape me as a performer.

Q: Can you tell us a bit about your show and what audiences can expect?

A: My show is called “Tales of Bravery and Stupidity” and it’s a mix of stand-up comedy, storytelling, and music. It’s a very personal and honest look at my life and career, with a lot of funny and heartfelt moments. I think audiences will really connect with the stories I share and hopefully leave feeling entertained and inspired.

Q: How does it feel to be performing in your hometown?

A: It’s always special to perform in front of a hometown crowd. There’s a certain energy and familiarity that you can’t find anywhere else. I’m really looking forward to it.

Q: You’ve had a successful career in both comedy and acting. How do you balance the two?

A: It’s definitely a balancing act, but I’ve been lucky enough to have opportunities in both fields. I think they both inform and complement each other, so it’s been a natural progression for me to do both.

Q: What advice do you have for aspiring comedians and performers?

A: My advice would be to never give up and to always stay true to yourself. It’s a tough industry, but if you have a passion for it and keep working hard, you can make it happen.

Q: Is there anything else you’d like to add about your show or your connection to Alberta?

A: I’m just really excited to be back in Alberta and to share my show with everyone. I hope people come out and have a good time. And I also want to give a shout out to all the amazing artists and performers from Alberta who continue to inspire me. It’s a special place and I’m proud to call it home.
