Police in Surrey, British Columbia are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who allegedly filmed a woman in a bathroom stall.
According to authorities, the incident occurred on May 22 at a business in the 10300 block of 152 Street. The woman reported that she was using the restroom when she noticed a cellphone being held over the top of the stall. She immediately confronted the man and he fled the scene.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian man in his 30s, approximately 5’10” tall with a medium build and short dark hair. He was wearing a black baseball cap, a black t-shirt, and black pants at the time of the incident.
Surrey RCMP have released a surveillance image of the suspect and are asking anyone with information to come forward. They are also reminding the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity in public restrooms.
This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of personal safety and privacy in public spaces. It is a violation of one’s privacy to be filmed without consent, and it is a criminal offense.
