Chatham, Ontario – The much-anticipated Ribfest is back in Chatham for its 15th anniversary this weekend. The annual event, known for its mouth-watering ribs and lively atmosphere, is set to take place at Tecumseh Park from Friday, August 20th to Sunday, August 22nd.
Organized by the Rotary Club of Chatham, Ribfest has become a staple in the community, drawing in thousands of visitors each year. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with a variety of food vendors, live music, and family-friendly activities.
“We are thrilled to be celebrating our 15th year of Ribfest in Chatham,” said Rotary Club President, John Smith. “This event has become a beloved tradition for our community and we are excited to bring it back after a year of hiatus due to the pandemic.”
Ribfest will feature some of the best rib vendors from across the country, including Boss Hog’s BBQ, Billy Bones BBQ, and Silver Bullet BBQ. Visitors can also indulge in other delicious food options such as pulled pork, chicken, and vegetarian dishes.
In addition to the mouth-watering food, Ribfest will also have a beer garden, where visitors can enjoy a cold drink while listening to live music from local bands. There will also be a kids’ zone with bouncy castles, face painting, and other fun activities for the little ones.
“We have put a lot of effort into making this year’s Ribfest a memorable experience for everyone,” said event coordinator, Sarah Jones. “We have a great lineup of vendors and entertainment, and we can’t wait to see the community come together to enjoy some delicious food and good company.”
Ribfest will run from 11 am to 11 pm on Friday and Saturday, and from 11 am to 7 pm on Sunday. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged, with all proceeds going towards local charities and community projects.
