2 more women charged in armed robbery at B.C. jewelry store

Two more women have been charged in connection with an armed robbery at a jewelry store in British Columbia.

According to police, the incident took place on May 25 at a jewelry store in the 3000 block of Granville Street in Vancouver. Two women, armed with a gun and a knife, entered the store and demanded jewelry from the employees. They then fled the scene in a vehicle.

After an investigation, police have now charged two additional women in connection with the robbery. 26-year-old Samantha Smith and 27-year-old Jessica Brown have both been charged with robbery and use of an imitation firearm while committing an indictable offence.

This brings the total number of people charged in connection with the robbery to four. 26-year-old Kaitlyn Smith and 27-year-old Michaela Smith were previously charged with robbery and use of an imitation firearm.

All four women are currently in custody and are scheduled to appear in court on June 10.

Police are still searching for a fifth suspect, 27-year-old Tyler Smith, who is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for robbery and use of an imitation firearm.

Anyone with information on Tyler Smith’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Vancouver Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
