Fleurs de Villes showcases whimsical floral creations inspired by country music icons
The annual Fleurs de Villes event in Calgary has once again captured the hearts and imaginations of attendees with its stunning display of floral artistry. This year’s theme, “Country Legends”, pays tribute to some of the most iconic figures in country music through whimsical and creative floral arrangements.
The event, which runs from June 3rd to 7th at the CORE Shopping Centre, features over 20 unique floral installations created by local florists and designers. Each installation is a unique interpretation of a country music legend, from Dolly Parton to Johnny Cash.
One of the highlights of the event is a larger-than-life installation of Willie Nelson, complete with his signature braided hair and guitar. The installation, created by local florist Amborella Floral Studio, features over 2,000 flowers and took over 100 hours to complete.
Another standout installation is a tribute to the legendary Patsy Cline, created by Flowers by Janie. The installation features a stunning floral dress, inspired by Cline’s iconic style, made entirely out of fresh flowers.
The event also includes a special installation in honor of the late country music legend, Kenny Rogers. The installation, created by Flower Chix, features a replica of Rogers’ iconic red jacket and includes a touching tribute to the singer.
Fleurs de Villes is not only a celebration of country music and floral art, but it also serves as a platform for local businesses and artists. The event provides an opportunity for florists and designers to showcase their talents and creativity, while also supporting the local economy.
