Chatham, ON – Police are on the lookout for two suspects involved in an aggravated assault that took place in Chatham.
According to authorities, the incident occurred on Tuesday evening at around 8:30 pm in the area of King Street West and Fifth Street. The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was reportedly attacked by the two suspects, causing serious injuries.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service has released descriptions of the suspects in hopes of gathering more information from the public. The first suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and a black baseball cap. The second suspect is described as a white female, approximately 5’5″ tall with a slim build. She was last seen wearing a red hoodie, black pants, and a black baseball cap.
The police are urging anyone with information about the suspects or the incident to come forward and contact the Chatham-Kent Police Service at 519-352-1234 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
In the meantime, the victim is currently receiving medical treatment for their injuries. The motive behind the attack is still under investigation.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service is also reminding the public to always be aware of their surroundings and to report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
