Real True News

The Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) has recently launched a new eLearning course focused on residential risk. This course aims to provide brokers with a strong foundation in understanding and managing risks associated with residential properties.

The course, titled “Residential Risk Fundamentals,” covers a wide range of topics related to residential risk, including property types, construction methods, and common hazards. It also delves into the importance of risk assessment and mitigation strategies for brokers to effectively protect their clients’ homes.

According to IBAO CEO Colin Simpson, the course was developed in response to the increasing complexity of residential risks and the need for brokers to have a solid understanding of these risks. He emphasizes that this course will not only benefit brokers but also their clients, as it will enable them to make more informed decisions when it comes to their insurance coverage.

The eLearning course is designed to be interactive and engaging, with real-life scenarios and case studies to help brokers apply their knowledge in practical situations. It also includes quizzes and assessments to ensure that brokers have a thorough understanding of the material.

IBAO President Joseph Carnevale highlights the importance of continuous learning in the insurance industry, stating that “the more knowledge brokers have, the better equipped they are to serve their clients.” He encourages all brokers to take advantage of this new course and enhance their expertise in residential risk.

The “Residential Risk Fundamentals” course is available to all IBAO members and can be accessed through their online learning platform. It is also accredited by the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) for continuing education credits.

With the launch of this eLearning course, IBAO continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing valuable resources and education to its members. Brokers can now equip themselves with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage residential risks and better serve their clients.
