Located at 176 East Pender Street, Annabelle’s is the brainchild of acclaimed chef and restaurateur, Angus An. An is known for his successful restaurants such as Maenam, Longtail Kitchen, and Freebird Chicken Shack.
The concept of Annabelle’s is a modern take on traditional Chinese cuisine, with a focus on using locally-sourced ingredients and sustainable practices. The menu will feature a mix of small plates, family-style dishes, and a selection of cocktails and wines.
The restaurant’s interior design is a collaboration between An and local design firm, Ste. Marie Art + Design. The space is inspired by the vibrant energy of Chinatown, with a mix of traditional and contemporary elements.
Annabelle’s was originally set to open in the spring of 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the opening was delayed. However, An and his team have used this time to fine-tune the menu and perfect the dining experience for their guests.
