Vancouver police seek help finding violent offender wanted Canada-wide

Vancouver Police Seek Public’s Assistance in Locating Violent Offender Wanted Across Canada

The Vancouver Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a violent offender who is wanted across Canada.

According to authorities, 35-year-old John Smith is wanted on multiple charges, including assault, uttering threats, and possession of a weapon. Smith is described as a Caucasian male, standing at 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Smith is considered to be a high-risk offender and is known to have a history of violence. Police are urging the public to not approach him if seen, but to immediately call 911.

Sergeant Steve Addison, spokesperson for the Vancouver Police Department, stated that Smith’s whereabouts are currently unknown and they are asking for the public’s assistance in locating him. “We believe that Smith is a danger to the community and it is important that we locate him as soon as possible,” said Sgt. Addison.

Smith is known to have ties to the Lower Mainland and the Okanagan region of British Columbia. However, authorities believe that he may have left the province and could be anywhere in Canada.

The Vancouver Police Department is reminding the public to not approach Smith if seen, but to call 911 immediately. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers.

Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and to report any sightings of Smith. “We are committed to ensuring the safety of our community and we are asking for the public’s assistance in locating this dangerous individual,” said Sgt. Addison.

The Vancouver Police Department is continuing their investigation and will provide updates as they become available.
