Trudeau and family head to British Columbia for vacation in unnamed location

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his family have embarked on a vacation to British Columbia, according to sources close to the family. The exact location of their getaway has not been disclosed.

Trudeau, along with his wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau and their three children, were spotted boarding a private plane at Ottawa’s Macdonald-Cartier International Airport on Friday. The family’s destination was kept under wraps, with no official statement from the Prime Minister’s Office.

This is not the first time the Trudeau family has chosen British Columbia as their vacation spot. Last summer, they spent their holiday in Tofino, a popular tourist destination on Vancouver Island. The family has also been known to frequent the ski resort town of Whistler.

The decision to keep their current vacation location undisclosed may be due to security concerns, as the Prime Minister’s family is entitled to protection by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). However, some speculate that the family may be staying at the luxurious Fawn Bluff Wilderness Resort, located on a private island in the Great Bear Rainforest.

Trudeau’s vacation comes at a time when the country is still grappling with the COVID-19 pandemic. The Prime Minister has faced criticism in the past for traveling during the pandemic, including a trip to the Caribbean in December 2020. However, the Prime Minister’s Office has assured that all necessary precautions and safety measures are being taken during this vacation.

Trudeau is expected to return to Ottawa in the coming days to resume his duties as Prime Minister. In his absence, Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland will be acting as the country’s leader.

As per tradition, the Prime Minister’s Office will not be releasing any details about the family’s vacation, in order to respect their privacy. However, it is clear that the Trudeau family is taking some time to relax and recharge in beautiful British Columbia.
