Tragedy struck the community of St. Albert as a 17-year-old victim of a stabbing incident has passed away.
According to the St. Albert RCMP, the incident occurred on Saturday evening at a residence in the Grandin neighborhood. The victim, whose identity has not been released, was found with serious injuries and was immediately transported to the hospital.
Despite the efforts of medical personnel, the victim succumbed to their injuries on Sunday afternoon.
The RCMP Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation and is working closely with the St. Albert RCMP and the Edmonton Medical Examiner’s Office. At this time, no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
The community of St. Albert is in shock and mourning over this tragic loss. Many have taken to social media to express their condolences and offer support to the victim’s family and friends.
