Collision in Mississauga sends motorcyclist to hospital

A motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital after a collision in Mississauga on Monday evening.

According to Peel Regional Police, the incident occurred at the intersection of Hurontario Street and Eglinton Avenue West around 6:30 p.m.

The motorcyclist, whose identity has not been released, was transported to a trauma centre with serious injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle involved in the collision remained on the scene and is cooperating with authorities.

Police have not provided any further details about the cause of the collision or the current condition of the motorcyclist.

The intersection was closed for several hours as police investigated the scene, but has since reopened.
