Man wanted for allegedly sexually assaulting woman while walking along trail in Brampton

A man is wanted by police for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman while they were both walking along a trail in Brampton.

According to Peel Regional Police, the incident occurred on Sunday, February 21, around 6:30 p.m. The woman was walking along the trail near the intersection of Williams Parkway and McLaughlin Road when she was approached by the suspect.

The man is described as being in his 30s, approximately 5’10” tall, with a medium build and short dark hair. He was wearing a black jacket, black pants, and a black baseball cap at the time of the incident.

Police say the suspect sexually assaulted the woman and then fled the scene on foot. The victim was able to call for help and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Investigators are now appealing to the public for any information that may lead to the identification and arrest of the suspect. They are also reminding the public to be aware of their surroundings and to report any suspicious activity to the police.
