Police looking for man wanted in suspected hate-motivated assault in Etobicoke

Police are currently searching for a man wanted in connection with a suspected hate-motivated assault in Etobicoke.

According to authorities, the incident occurred on Monday evening in the area of Kipling Avenue and Westhumber Boulevard. The victim, a 32-year-old man, was walking in the area when he was approached by the suspect.

The suspect allegedly made derogatory comments towards the victim’s race and then proceeded to physically assault him. The victim sustained minor injuries and was able to flee the scene.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, approximately 5’10” tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and a black baseball cap.

Police are treating this incident as a hate-motivated crime and are urging anyone with information to come forward. They are also reminding the public that hate crimes will not be tolerated and those responsible will be held accountable.
