Toronto police search for man who allegedly assaulted person with hammer

Toronto Police are currently on the lookout for a man who is suspected of assaulting another person with a hammer. The incident occurred on Monday evening in the area of Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue.

According to authorities, the victim was walking in the area when they were approached by the suspect. The suspect then allegedly struck the victim with a hammer before fleeing the scene on foot.

Police have released a description of the suspect in hopes of identifying and locating him. He is described as a white male in his 30s, approximately 5’10” tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and a black baseball cap.
