A senior citizen has gone missing from the Whitehorn neighborhood in Calgary, leaving family and authorities concerned for their well-being.

According to the Calgary Police Service, 78-year-old John Smith was last seen on Monday afternoon at his residence on Whitehorn Drive NE. He was reported missing by his family on Tuesday morning.

Smith is described as 5’8″ tall, with a slim build and short grey hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and black shoes.

Police have been actively searching the area and have asked for the public’s assistance in locating Smith. They have also released a photo of him in hopes that someone may have seen him or have information on his whereabouts.

Family members are worried about Smith’s safety as he suffers from dementia and may become disoriented easily. They have also mentioned that he does not have a cell phone or any identification with him.
