Two brothers from Medicine Hat have been arrested in connection with a trafficking investigation, according to local authorities.

The investigation, which was conducted by the ALERT (Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams) Medicine Hat organized crime team, resulted in the arrest of 27-year-old Tyler James Friesen and 25-year-old Brandon James Friesen.

The brothers were taken into custody on February 4th, 2021, after ALERT executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of 7th Street SE in Medicine Hat.

Both brothers are facing multiple charges, including possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of stolen property, and firearms-related offences.

According to ALERT, the investigation began in January 2021 after receiving information about drug trafficking activities in the Medicine Hat area.
